PAST PROJECTS

These are projects I’ve stepped away from, paused, archived, or reshaped over time. Some may return in a different form. Others simply mark a season of writing, experimentation, and figuring out what kind of stories I wanted to tell.

LITTLE HEARTACHES

Fiction Project | Completed / Archived

Little Heartaches is a completed fiction project I began in the fall of 2017, during the first time I lived in New York City. It follows Bianca and Jacob, twins shaped by the loss of their mother as teenagers, as they navigate grief, addiction, complicated family roles, and the chosen family they build around themselves.

I worked on this book for years, through many drafts, versions, and attempts to find its true emotional center. Though I am not actively working on it anymore, Little Heartaches remains an important part of my growth as a writer: a project that taught me how to revise, rebuild, and stay with a story even when it changed beneath me.

Maybe I’ll come back to it one day.

you chase i chase

Memoir Project | Completed / Archived

You Chase, I Chase is a completed memoir project built from journal entries, text messages, voice memos, conversations, and memory. It chronicles a season I spent working in a New York City restaurant, where camaraderie and tight friendships slowly became something darker: workplace gossip, emotional confusion, humiliation, blurred boundaries, and the unraveling of my sense of safety inside a place I once wanted to belong.

The project began as an attempt to understand what happened and put the days back in order. Through old notes, messages, recordings, and fragments of memory, I realized I had documented more than I knew. Writing it reopened pain, but it also gave me a kind of healing: the kind that comes from telling the truth until it no longer lives only inside the body.

You Chase, I Chase now lives as a personal archive of what happened, how I remembered it, and how I survived it.
